Bridal Jewelry Trends for South Asian Weddings
What brides are choosing for 2026 and 2027 weddings: pastel stones, pearls with kundan, layered necklaces, moissanite and personal kaleeras.
By Neha Parihar, founder/Updated

These are the looks brides ask for most when they book styling for the 2026 and 2027 wedding seasons. Each one links to pieces you can see in the studio or on video.
1. Pastel and soft jewel tones
Red and green kundan is still the classic. Next to it, brides are picking softer stones to match pastel lehengas. Sea green, rose pink and aqua sit well with mint, blush and powder blue outfits.
- The Alia Choker comes with a sea green or a rose quartz centre stone.
- The Isha Choker pairs aqua pearl strands with a quartz centre.
2. Pearls with kundan
Multi strand pearl chokers with a kundan or carved stone centre. They feel lighter than a full kundan collar. They also work from the mehndi through to the reception.
The Malti Choker Set has white pearl strands with emerald green carved stones. See all pearl pieces.
3. Layered necklaces
Instead of one big necklace, brides are wearing two or three of different lengths. Start with a choker and add a rani haar or a long set.
The Nurah Necklace is already layered. It has two rows of kundan with deep green borders and teardrop pendants.
4. A second look for the reception
More brides want a white, sparkly set for the reception, to wear with a gown or a light saree. Moissanite is a lab grown stone with a diamond like sparkle, at a fraction of the price. American diamond gives a similar look for less.
5. Bigger tikkas and matha pattis
The tikka is becoming a centrepiece. Designs with several drops, or side chains that run into the hair as a matha patti, frame the face in photos. See our tikkas.
6. Kaleeras that tell a story
Brides are making their kaleeras personal. Most of our kaleerey can take a photo charm or metal charm. Many brides add a photo of a grandparent they miss.
The Titli Kaleerey has butterfly charms hanging below gold domes. Our kalire guide shows more styles.
7. Grooms who match
Grooms are matching the bride too. A kalgi on the safa or a brooch on the sherwani, in the same stones as her set, ties the couple's photos together. See the groom's shop.
8. Mixing old and new
Fewer brides want every piece to match. Many wear a family piece, like a mother's necklace or a grandmother's bangles, and build new pieces around it. Bring the heirloom to your appointment and we will style around it.
Which trends will last
Pastels and heavy layering date fastest. Pearls, kundan and a good choker stay. If you want one trendy piece, make it the earrings or the tikka. Keep the necklace classic.
