Parandi

A parandi is braided into the hair and ends in tassels called phumman. It makes a braid longer and fuller, and it swings when you dance. It is a classic for jaago and mehndi night. Pick a colour to match your outfit, or black to blend with your hair.

How do I braid in a parandi?

Split your hair in three, lay the parandi threads over each section and braid as normal. Keep braiding past your hair with the threads, then tie off above the tassels.

When is a parandi worn?

Most often to the jaago and the mehndi. It moves when you dance and keeps hair off your face.
